development capital fund specialized
in "environment and energy"
Demeter's investment strategy is focused mainly on existing companies.
The portfolio is made up primarily of "capital development"
companies (approximately 70%) but also includes a few venture
capital companies (15%), including those involved in the renewable
energies and prevention of hazards emerging markets as well
as 2 or 3 syndicated LBOs or pre-IPO companies. It will include
approximately twenty-five investments averaging between €4
and €5 million. The geographic target will be European (approximately
50% French).
Demeter is the first European investment capital firm with both
a capital development
and environment/energy sector strategy.
Strategy and Ethics Committee
The Demeter fund relies on a strategy committee, made up of representatives
of the principal investors
in the fund. Its role is to:
examine and decide on all issues relating to ethics
or conflicts of interest which may be submitted
to it either by the management company or any affiliate or subscriber,
examine and decide on requests for exemptions from
fund requirements when provided
for in the by-law (example: reinvestment after the investment
period).
The firm Déontologie & Compliance will be responsible
for periodic internal review, compliance and ethics.
Advisory Board
An advisory board advises the management team regarding its choice
of investments and provides market insights.
Committee members are consulted at the request of the management
team:
individually to contribute their expertise to a proposed
investment, or
collectively at meetings held at least quarterly,
during which final-phase projects are presented.

in which the Demeter fund is involved: :
