Michel Leistenschneider joined the Demeter Partners’ team on September 1st 2008 as an investment director. Michel has thorough knowledge of the energy and particularly within the biomass energy field. Since 2005, Michel has been a consultant for several investment funds in the renewable energies and eco-industries sectors.
In addition to his technical skill, he brings a thorough knowledge of Germany, country in which he mastered the language and the culture after having remained there almost 10 years.
From 1989 to 2000, Michel exerted various responsibilities within the Group ELF AQUITAINE, in particular directing the Supplying-logistics in Germany and as director of a subsidiary company in Central-Europe.
From 2000 to 2004, he was C.E.O. of the company: Alcan Rubber & Chemicals Inc. (A.R.CI.), subsidiary of the German group METALL GESELLSCHAFT in New-York, N.Y – U.S.A : ARCI which engaged in activities such as the importation in North America as well as the distribution and treatment of agricultural raw materials (rubber, edible oil: palm, coconut).
